Divorce and separation are not uncommon in today’s world. Sammy Hagar also went through the same despite struggling a lot with his career. While he managed to tie the knot once, he found his true love only in the second marriage. However, it must be noted that he devoted around two decades to his first wife which could not last long.
He has two sons from his first marriage and two daughters from his second marriage whom he loves very much. Singer Ken Tamplin is one of his family members and the duo even collaborated for a few performances. He has a different attraction towards Ferrari and has brought a 2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1 along with another model.
Sammy Hagar’s first marriage turned out to be a big failure
Sammy married his first wife Betsy Berardi on November 3, 1968, and gave birth to two children Aaron (born 1970) and Andrew (born 1984). But they suddenly ended their marriage even after living together for 26 years, which surprised everyone. They did not even reveal the reason for their divorce to anyone anywhere. However, in respect to the privacy of each other, they decided to move on.
Sammy still did not give up and decided to try his luck for another time after marrying Kari Hagar. This time also he had two kids and while there are no details available on the overall relationship, the wedding reportedly happened back in November 1995.
Sammy Hagar’s second wife is a well-known face like him
Kari is not as famous as Sammy but she is not less popular either. She became even more well-known after marrying him. She served as a producer of two documentaries with her husband in the lead.
The documentaries are titled Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar and Red Til I’m Dead: Sammy Hagar’s Rock-N-Roll Birthday Bash and she then worked on another project titled Ram Dass, Going Home. She has also been involved with the camera and electrical department on her husband’s song Sammy Hagar & the Circle Live: At Your Service.
Sammy Hagar has played with many bands in his career
Hagar’s work with different bands has received decent feedback over the years. A few of them collaborated with him as guest musicians but he remained with the Waboritas for the majority of his career. Many years ago in 2004, he worked with Van Halen and the group eventually went on a temporary break for some time.
The Waboritas were also going through a similar phase at the time and he told them to be prepared whenever he called them. He was associated with Chickenfoot for a brief period and he then shifted to Wabos for another time after Chickenfoot’s members were not interested in the group’s further success. Hagar has been a guitar expert and the same was featured in a lot of records.
Hagar has been a part of different endorsements, including for guitar companies such as Yamaha and Washburn. He also uses some amazing equipment for his performances. His brief television career is known to the public, where he was chosen for a few commercials by the National Automotive Parts Association (NAPA). He was featured in the paranormal show, Celebrity Ghost Stories followed by a reality show, American Restoration.
